ABOUT THE CLASSES

Tokyo Cook provides Japanese cooking classes in English for every level (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). Learn to cook traditional Japanese dishes with our experienced instructors in a private kitchen in one of central Tokyo’s top restaurants. We will provide all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment – and recommend you dress comfortably and casually for this hands-on learning.

PRICES

All prices are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY). Prices are subject to change. Please contact us for pricing.

MAXIMUM CLASS SIZE

Our classes require a minimum of two participants. This keeps our prices to you as low as possible and ensures we can guarantee you instruction by top chefs and food specialists using the best quality ingredients. Each class will not exceed 6 people. For bookings of 7 or more people please contact us at info@tokyo-cook.com and we’ll be happy to help you.

Private one-on-one cooking sessions with a chef can be booked with the purchase of a 6-person slot.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Class participants must notify us of all allergies and dietary restrictions on booking OR within 7 days of the booked class. This allows us to modify recipes and menus to suit your needs. Please note that allergies are the responsibility of the student and not Tokyo Cook LLC or any of its staff. We are not responsible for any allergic reactions to foodstuffs.

We will be glad to tailor any classes to vegetarian or vegans upon request. Please note that, unless we receive specific instructions, certain vegetable dishes may use bonito (fish) based broth. Vegetarian classes are generally ovo-lacto-vegetarian and may use egg and dairy. However, we can substitute ingredients to fit your dietary needs, so let us know in advance. Luckily, Japanese dishes have many variations!

MINORS

You must be over 13 years old to attend the classes. All minors must be accompanied by an adult (over 18 years old).

CANCELLATION POLICY

To receive a full refund or transfer to another class of equal value, you must give at least 7 days advance notice by emailing info@tokyo-cook.com.

No refunds or class transfers will be given for no-shows or cancellations outside of the 7 day notice period. If you are unable to attend the class, you may send someone in your place, but you need to notify us of the change prior to the class. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes if necessary. If we do cancel or reschedule, you may choose a refund, register for another class of equal value, or keep a credit on account for future classes for up to a year from the class date.
